Armidale is known for its arts and culture so you'll always be able to find something to explore if you know where to look.
For art, the New England Regional Art Museum (NERAM), offers the biggest collection of art in Australia outside a capital city and is worth a visit.
The Aboriginal Culture Centre & Keeping place always has exhibitions, and is located next door to NERAM on Kentucky st.
Also check out Gallery 126 on Jessie st.
For music, the TAS Hospkins centre, the Sto at UNE, the Welder's Dog in the CBD, Two Goats & a Baa, Charlie's last stand and the Imperial Hotel (Impies) all offer live music on occasion. A good place to see what's on in music is to check out the Armidale Live facebook page.
Check out the Armidale Regional Council events page featuring community events, the Armidale Tourism page featuring community events and live music, and updates on social events and live music on the Armidale Live facebook page.
